We are very pleased to announce
Dr. Maya Angelou will serve as chairperson and special guest for this annual gala benefit.
This event is especially important to me and Glide because on that night we will not only lift up the empowerment of women and their voices, we will also honor Janice Mirikitani for her 40 years at Glide and her work in co-founding and creating Glide’s many support services and empowerment programs, especially for women, children and youth. I know this will be a very exciting evening with powerful voices and performances by women such as Dr. Angelou, Janice Mirikitani and others who represent youth, community and civic leaders, and those who are breaking cycles of poverty and degradation to become healthy, caring and strong individuals.
I invite you to join Dr. Angelou, Janice, our co-presenter Richard Blum and me in partnering with Glide by sponsoring our Annual Holiday Festival.
