BIBLE STUDY GROUP
Twenty-first century Americans as a whole have little understanding of the Bible. Most of us have had few opportunities, whether we have grown up in a religious community or not, to become biblically literate persons. Hence our own understanding of the Judeo-Christian faith is marred by misinterpretation and outmoded presuppositions of a by-gone era.
Biblical literacy is key to unlocking the spiritual riches that are attested to and recorded in this book. It is in unlocking the mysteries and understanding the stories that we join antiquity and enter the future with new vision and new understanding.
At Glide, we invite members to join us each week for a faith-informed, historical-critical exploration of God's Word.
The summer curriculum focuses on "Bad Girls of the Bible." We meet every other Thursday from 6:30-8pm in Room 206, unless otherwise noted*:
