Glide's Men Talk meets every Tuesday evening from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in Room 206 for the purpose of providing opportunities for men to talk. We follow an open format and discuss topics suggested by men in the group. Our goal is to explore the New Man masculinity found in the faith, life and teachings of Jesus and other biblical figures. This approach was set forth in Bill Wilson's recovery model. We observe strict confidentiality for all participants. We seek to transform society by rejecting the rigid roles assigned to males in patriarchal and hierarchical theory and the impact of the same on our lives and relationships as Bisexual, Gay, Straight and Transgender men. We seek to build non-competitive egalitarian communication with each other and in all our relationships. The group is open to all, including church members and community residents. Pastor Guest serves as facilitator for the group.
