Volunteerism

GLIDE benefits from the generous work of thousands of volunteers each year and as the demand for our services increases, so too does our need for more volunteers! Serving in the Meals Program has become a popular team building activity for many corporations. 20 or more people serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and they receive a full GLIDE educational orientation or a powerful group reflection.

 

 

 

           

Matching Gifts

Many generous individuals give their contributions from their own pockets but are often unaware that their companies will match their gift at least one-for-one. Talk to your Human Resources Department to find out more and make sure you don't miss the opportunity to make your gift go twice as far.

 

 

 

              

Grants

One of the benefits that comes from a partnership with GLIDE is that because GLIDE is so comprehensive, there is a program that aligns with almost anyone's giving priorities. Whether your giving focus is on art, children, medical care, housing, crisis care, access to food, domestic violence, recovery, technology, green initiatives, or education, we have a need and place for your support.

 

 

 

              

Toy Collections

There are a variety of ways you can lead a collection that rallies your whole team for a meaningful cause. During the holidays, we give toys to over 3,000 children in need. Your team's collection will ensure that children who may not otherwise receive gifts during the holidays are able to experience the excitement of receiving a new toy.

 

 

              

Hygiene Kit Collections

Throughout the year we distribute thousands of hygiene kits (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, deodorant, shaving razor and cream, feminine hygiene products, new socks, etc.). Your collection contribution can add significantly to these efforts by providing critically needed items that many of us take for granted.

 

 

              

Adopt-a-Family

Hundreds of families and individuals that participate in our programs or live in one of our three residences have the opportunity to be adopted during the holidays. $50 per person gives these families and individuals the chance to fully celebrate the holiday season.

 

 

         

In-Kind Contributions
