Cutting Ball Theater Presents Tenderloin Tour
Sunday, January 20, 2018
Come to GLIDE on January 20, at 1PM, and you’ll see Cutting Ball Theater perform their documentary-style play, “Tenderloin Tour.” For free. RSVP and find further details on the event’s Facebook page. The performance will be followed by refreshments and a community discussion with Del Seymour.
“The Tenderloin Tour” first ran in 2012, and it explores the cultural vibrancy found in this section of the city. The production has interview-style talks with real denizens of the neighborhood, and run-time hits one hour.
The play will run as a tour, with the troupe trekking to different community sites. Each site will have free performances. Their own theater, EXIT, on Taylor St., will also have a limited engagement run (i.e. it will show for a limited time).
1999 marked the founding of Cutting Ball Theater. Their mission: to experiment with theatrical form and discover new ways to tell stories “that embolden and engage audiences.”
