GLIDE Yoga aligns ancient yoga philosophy with GLIDE’s mission of unconditional love in action. Our committed volunteer teachers have mobilized to provide their community with free online yoga during this shelter-in-place.
We offer free online yoga classes three times a week where people from all walks of life can practice yoga and enjoy the full benefits of body, mind and spirit. All levels of experience welcome and encouraged to attend!
Classes are generally 90 minutes long, give or take. Accommodations can be made if people need to arrive late or leave early, but a full 90 minute class does wonders.
What style of yoga is it?
We teach all kinds of yoga! One of the wonderful things about GLIDE Yoga is that we have many diverse teachers with different backgrounds. Our style can be described as “all levels” and “accessible” because we aim to make each class approachable for people with various body types and levels of experience. We have a large collection of mats and yoga props for everyone to use, which means the only thing people need to bring is themselves in comfy clothing.
How many students generally attend?
This highly depends on the day / time of year / climate / etc. Our average class is around 5 students, we sometimes have as few as one (free private yoga session!) and sometimes as many as 15. The room could accommodate many more.
Do you have to register to attend?
The class is drop-in! Completely free, no need to sign up in advance. We do ask students to sign in on our sign in sheet when they arrive or before they leave.
