The foundation that GLIDE Memorial Church stands on is built of our guiding values: of unconditional love, radical inclusivity — and justice for all people.
We hope you will join us in the work of building true justice by joining one of our racial justice Congregational Life groups:
Racial Justice Group
Led by Paula Farmer, local journalist, writer and director, this group meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 5:00-6:00 pm. Together, our multi-racial group explores how issues from climate change to the democratic process impact racial justice. We read and discuss American history, host local artists, and bring our own personal histories and experiences to bear.
White Antiracist Group
Led by Pam Noli, long-time consultant to urban schools and districts focused on standards, racial equity and improving achievement, this dynamic group of white community members comes together on Fridays, 4:30-5:30 pm. Group members conduct the hard work of dismantling racism and white-supremacy, addressing questions of privilege, responsibility and the big and small (seeming) actions that must be taken from within the communities that have benefited from white supremacy.
