DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join us for Glide Memorial Church’s in-
 person and virtual Sunday Celebrations and join the work of our hands de
 monstrated in our Church Announcements. \n\nSunday\, February 18th\, 
 the Rev. Dr. Clyde Oden\, Jr. will be our guest preacher. Dr. Oden has f
 our degrees including a Doctorate of Optometry and a Master of Public He
 alth from the University of California at Berkeley. He has also earned a
 n MBA from Pepperdine University and a Master of Divinity from the Clare
 mont School of Theology.\n\nHe arrived at Berkeley intending to become t
 he first Black optometrist in his hometown of San Diego with the expecta
 tion of becoming a successful practitioner\; he left Berkeley with a det
 ermination to be part of the solution addressing health disparities in l
 ow-income communities. After working as a successful optometrist\, he en
 rolled in Berkeley’s Public Health school\, where he earned his MPH.\n
 \nMinister Marvin K. White will lift us up with words and poetry of spir
 itual\, creative\, and justice while cultivating beloved community. The 
 Change Band will delight us with a new Civil Rights sound\, and the Glid
 e Ensemble will be singing songs that inspire us to join our voices and 
 take action.\n\nJoin us after the 11 am Celebration  to help distribute
  blankets and hygiene kits to our neighbors\, engage in justice advocacy
  and register to vote.\n\nJoin us Sunday at 9 and 11 am Pacific Time

 ive writing practice by providing writing prompts\, free writing journal
