  phenomenon in culture\, one that has molded several generations of musi
 c\, dance\, and social awareness\, from its New York urban roots to main
 stream America. Hear from artists\, activists\, and leaders from the Hip
 Hop community as they discuss the importance of this artform to Social J
 ustice movements across the globe.\n\nHosted by Miguel Bustos\, Senior D
 irector\, GLIDE’s Center for Social Justice\n\nOur panelist include:\n
 \nGuled Muse- Lead Artist of the Khamsa Project\n\nGuled Muse is a music
  producer and community organizer. His work includes community leadershi
 p in the Mission District of San Francisco and in Oakland\, which includ
 es movements around issues such as gentrification\, promotion of the art
 s and diversity. He has founded and coordinated events including ‘Skat
 e with Beats’ and ‘Not 4 Sale’\, which highlighted the essence of 
 Bay Area energy by promoting female\, Latina DJs. Originally from Somali
 a\, Guled moved to the US at the age of ten\, and has lived in the Bay A
 rea for over 20 years.\n\nJada Imani- Hip-Hop R&amp\;B artistct. Nourish
 ing the bodies and souls of all in need a\n\nJada Imani is an East St. L
 ouis-born\, Bay Area-raised Hip-Hop R&amp\;B artist and organizer. Jada 
 is known for her dynamic MC presence as a performer\, event host and wor
 kshop facilitator.\n\nAt age 15\, Jada began curating live performances
  at Oakland's First Friday Festival in the Alan Blueford Center for Just
 ice\, where she built a community while hosting hundreds of artists ove
 r the course of three and a half years.\n\nImani since has collaborated 
 on projects with Adidas\, the Oakland Museum of California\, and the GRA
 MMYs Recording Academy as a voting member and finds her ultimate passion
  is in grassroot projects.\n\nJada Imani has a newly launched merchandi
 se line around her latest singles and music videos in partnership with l
 ocal women-of-color owned businesses including AVOCURL\, The Well and mo
 st recently Oaklandish.\n\nIn solidarity\,\n\nCenter for Social Justice\
