Through FAMILY SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, we help families move themselves out of poverty one day at a time.
From supporting a young boy with his literacy needs to supporting a mother who is struggling with addiction, the Janice Mirikitani Family, Youth and Childcare Center (FYCC) meets families where they are.
FYCC is a safe and welcoming environment for children and families that provides a holistic set of resources to help people realize their potential at home, in school, and as leaders in their community. We believe parents are our partners and we engage the whole family in their children’s growth and development.

We strive to build a community by providing opportunities for families to get together in a social setting to connect and learn with each other. Our teachers keep parents up to date on their children’s progress and behavior and strive to maintain consistency in the learning environments between home, school, and FYCC. The accessibility of our free or low-cost child care among low-income families allows parents not only to have access to high quality childcare, but also to maintain employment and financial sustainability and work towards improving their own health and well-being.
"Its just a circle, the kids, the parents, the teachers...it’s just GLIDE."
