THE HOLIDAYS IN PERSPECTIVE - COME HELP GIVE JOY AND HOPE TO OTHERS IN NEED

Donations, Volunteers and Toys Needed for Glide's Holiday Season of Celebrations and Events

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – On the heels of a difficult year, Glide invites you to give your spirit a boost"by volunteering your time and resources for Glide’s holiday celebrations and events. From preparing and serving Glide’s famous Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to passing out toys and grocery bags to needy families, Glide has many ways for hundreds of volunteers and donors to spread the comfort of home to those who need it the most this holiday season.

“These have been difficult times for all, and the number of people who rely on Glide has increased by 20 percent,” said Reverend Cecil Williams, Glide’s Minister of Liberation. “And when they hurt – we all hurt. We heal our spirits by providing real help to those in immediate need. Come join us, and experience your own renewal.”

Volunteer sign-ups for Thanksgiving, Christmas and all holiday events began on November 1 at www.glide.org. Sign up early to guarantee a spot. Monetary donations at this time of year are especially welcome and can also be processed online or sent to Glide (330 Ellis Street, San Francisco). Glide also needs donations of new, unwrapped toys and nonperishable foods, which can be dropped off at Glide.
