WHAT: GLIDE will give away 5,000 bags full of groceries to individuals and families this year.  Hundreds of volunteers, including approximately 300 Gap Inc. employees will help fill the bags and distribute them to those in need. At this time GLIDE does not have the resources to fill and handout the usual 6,000 bags given out each year.

Each bag contains fresh poultry, potatoes, bread, pasta, pasta sauce, rice, beans, and vegetables.

“While things are beginning to turn around, it’s happening slowly and there are still thousands of people – families and kids – who need us every day,” said     Reverend Cecil Williams, GLIDE’s Founder and Minister of Liberation. “Our food lines have grown tremendously over the past two years – more and more people desperately need our help.  We invite everyone to join us in the spirit of healing, giving hope and celebration.”
