THE GLIDE ENSEMBLE

The 100+ member Glide Ensemble takes the Sunday Celebrations to another level. Clapping, swaying, and blasting out the spirit of empowerment, the choir accompanied by The Change Band embodies Glide's infectious message of diversity, acceptance, and unconditional love. Led by directors John F. Turk Jr. and Ron Sutherland, the Glide Ensemble shakes the walls and raises spirits. Whether they are singing jazz, blues, spirituals or gospel, the Ensemble resonates with the jubilant sounds of transformation.  Ensemble auditions are held every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm in Room 206. Rehearsals are every Wednesday at 7:00pm. For any Glide Ensemble requests or bookings, please contact (415) 674-6002, the Office of Reverend Cecil Williams to begin the inquiry process.
 

GLIDE ENSEMBLE IN CONCERT! COMING SOON!
Please save the date for the upcoming concert, “Wings of Song – a Spiritual Flight with the Glide Ensemble.” The concert will take place here in the Glide Sanctuary, on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. On the performance date, Box Office (Freedom Hall) will open at 3:30pm and doors will open for seating at 4:00pm. We hope you will join us for this jubilant, spiritual flight!

ON-SITE TICKET SALES
Beginning Sunday, July 5, 2009, on-site ticket sales will begin on Sundays at Glide, please visit the volunteer table in Freedom Hall, after the 9:00 and 11:00 Celebrations.
 
WILL CALL
For all ticket purchasers, your hardcopy tickets will be available for pick up on Sundays, starting August 16, 2009 in Freedom Hall, and will continue every Sunday through the concert date. Only ticket purchasers may retrieve tickets from Will Call; the purchaser’s photo i.d. and signature are required to pick up tickets.
 
PERFORMANCE DETAILS
On the Sunday, September 13, 2009, Box Office (Freedom Hall) will open at 3:30pm and Sanctuary doors will open for seating at 4:00pm. Performance will start promptly at 5:00pm..
