Graze the Roof
The Bay Area's first rooftop garden, Graze the Roof, is located on top of 330 Ellis Street and features:
- hydroponic vegetable growers
- earthboxes
- lightweight garden beds made from shipping pallets and milk crates
- worm composting system
- beehives
- educational mural
Graze the Roof is intergrated into the Janice Mirikitani GLIDE Family, Youth and Childcare Center's (FYCC) afterschool curriculum and provides weekly gardening classes and monthly garden cooking classes for our youth and families.

CW House Community Garden
Our resident-run garden is located on top of the the Cecil Williams GLIDE Community House (CW House) at 333 Taylor Street and features:
- garden planters
- miniature greenhouse
- storage shed
- rainwater harvesting system
- worm composting sytem
- resident-designed mural
This vibrant space benefits the both the community and the environment, and was made possible through a San Francicsco Community Challenge Grant and our partnership with the San Francisco Zen Center.
