Back to School Celebration

Collecting school supplies for students at GLIDE’s Family, Youth and Childcare Center, GLIDE Housing, and GLIDE Kids.

GLIDE’s Back to School Celebration needs your help.

In years past we have given backpacks to our scholars but the COVID-19 virus changes everything. We are asking you to purchase items from our Amazon list and ship directly to GLIDE Church. To support our students we are requesting games and art supplies. We are in the process of buying snacks through our meals program. The students we are supporting, while doing distance learning, are GLIDE’s Family, Youth and Childcare Center, GLIDE Housing, and GLIDE Kids. Our goal is to support 300 students with a game, activity and a book.

Please do not drop off items at the church.

We want to take this time to remember the person who helped start not only GLIDE’s Family, Youth and Childcare Center but also the backpack drive. Joyce Hayes' and LaMonte Bisshop's drive and determination helped students in need of basic school supplies. Tyree Leslie and Steve Hyzer have continued the legacy with the Back to School Celebration for the last 6 years. You can help us support our scholars today.
