Corporate & Community Groups

Are you a team of people that want to uplift our community and find a sense of purpose while doing it?

We recommend looking at the Volunteer Shift Calendar to find more information regarding our available opportunities for groups of up to 25 motivated individuals.

Holiday’s at GLIDE

Are you looking to volunteer for Thanksgiving or Christmas? Would you like to donate toys to make the Holidays special for children of The Tenderloin? 

Our Shift reservations for the Holidays are published in early November. You may sign up via our Shift Calendar then. 

Christmas Toy donations open in November. You may utilize our Amazon Wishlist or donate new toys at 330 Ellis Street.

Hosting a Care Item Drive

Gather a group of family, friends or colleagues and help GLIDE collect new items for care packages that will support our ongoing essential service efforts:

• Standard Hygiene Package – Hand sanitizer, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, lotion, deodorant, comb, body wipes, razors, & socks.

• Street Outreach Care Package – Soap, hand sanitizer, bottled water etc.

• Winter Essential – socks, rain poncho, gloves, jacket, umbrella, backpack, and hand warmers.

• Undergarments for all genders of varying sizes

• Furry Companion Care Package – dog treats, leashes, muzzles, dog food, etc.

Who We Serve

GLIDE is a leading social services organization in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood as well as a social justice movement and spiritual community, dedicated to strengthening and transforming lives. GLIDE welcomes all in need of care and community. Our Daily Free Meals program serves a diverse cross-section of homeless and insecurely housed individuals and families as well as low-income working people, and senior citizens and differently abled folks on small fixed incomes.
