Who We Serve
GLIDE is the leading social service organization, a social justice movement and spiritual community, dedicated to strengthening and transforming lives. GLIDE welcomes all in need of care and community. Our Daily Free Meals program serves a diverse cross-section of homeless and insecurely housed individuals and families as well as low-income working people, and senior citizens and differently abled folks on small fixed incomes. In addition to our cafeteria-style main dining room, GLIDE offers a separate smaller dining room for families, elderly guests and those with mobility challenges, where volunteers and staff can serve them at their table.
Serve a Meal
Come volunteer with our Daily Free Meals program for a truly transformative experience. We need 85 volunteers every day to fill the breakfast, prep, lunch, and dinner shifts. Your support allows us to serve approximately 2,000 meals per day to the community members who rely on our Meals program. Volunteers assist with everything from serving food to bussing tables. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and make some beautiful human connections! Click “Volunteer Now” to sign up for an open shift!
