Marta Grajeda is excited to join GLIDE Memorial Church as the new Congregational Stewardship Officer. She will be working with Minister Marvin to strengthen the community and support church fundraising efforts. Marta is an accomplished fundraiser and has extensive leadership experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She is deeply committed to GLIDE’S mission and values. Marta holds a Masters in the Art of Teaching (MAT) from Brown University and a BA in US History, with an emphasis in Ethnic Studies, from San Francisco State University. She is a Bay Area native who lives in Oakland with her partner, teenage daughter, and two opinionated pups. In her free time, Marta enjoys spending time in her rose garden, cooking, and laughing with friends.

Marta is particularly excited to join GLIDE Memorial Church at this pivotal moment for our community, as she was raised to love unconditionally and is raising her daughter to be radically inclusive. Marta is ready to honor Cecil’s promise to Janice, that we will continue to do the work.
