GLIDE Forward
The Center for Social Justice’s transformative programs revolve around deep and soulful introspective discussions, workshops, and experiences that inspire participants to become truth seekers and truth tellers in our world. As a result, together, we become the change that we need today.
The Dept. of Elections and GLIDE have partnered to target vulnerable hard to reach populations and the general population to educate and provide information on Ranked-Choice Voting to increase voter participation.
Join us on September 3 and 10 at Room 500 to learn about Rank-Choice Voting, its intention and how it works. September 3 and 10 will include instructions for the Latinx and Asian communities.
These workshops are non-partisan and intended to increase voter participation in neighborhoods with historical voter turnout below the city’s average.
At GLIDE, we support Proposition 6, which would allow our clients and community members who are incarcerated to have a choice in their work assignment and more flexibility to engage in services.
The GLIDE’s Center for Social Justice leads an annual pilgrimage to Alabama to visit and learn about the history of racism and how it has continued to morph in our country through systems of oppression, policies and laws.
This documentary captures the journey of several participants and is a visual testament to the power and impact that occurs when participant in this special journey.
