During Black History month, we will also be featuring Michael Tubbs. Despite having a teenage mother and a father in prison, Michael Tubbs became a Stanford scholarship student and then a stellar public servant.  He’s dedicated his life to fighting fearlessly for radical solutions to structural poverty, both in and out of office. On Martin Luther King Jr. Day he told the people, “We have to defeat nihilism with action, and remind people that they matter.” I know you’ll come away from his talk feeling like you have the power to make a difference! So, February 23rd will be a great Sunday to go to church.
