Rev Dr Amos Brown is Preaching at Glide Memorial Church

Amos Brown

Join us on Sunday, February 16, 2025, for a powerful and historic worship experience at Glide Memorial Church as we welcome the legendary Reverend Dr. Amos C. Brown! Known among World leaders, Presidents, celebrities, and academicians alike for his trademark activism, intellectual discipline, and masterful oratory, the Rev. Dr. Brown has been the Pastor at Third Baptist Church of San Francisco since 1976.

The Rev. Dr. Brown, a civil rights icon, visionary leader, and dynamic preacher, will deliver an electrifying message at both the 9 and 11 am Celebrations, sharing inspiring words on racial justice, the pursuit of reparations, and the power of unity in the fight for African American success in San Francisco and beyond.

Minister Marvin K. White will pray and stir up community. The Glide Ensemble, directed by Zoë Ellis will sing songs that liberate our bodies and minds. The Change Band will knit us together with harmony.

After the 11 am Celebration, join us in Freedom Hall from 1:15  – 3:00 pm for a question and answer session. The event will open with an interview-style discussion led by the Minister White and moderated by Freddy Martin. Following this, Rev. Dr. Brown will take the stage for a dynamic conversation, answering questions directly from the audience about Reparations for African American people in San Francisco and in the State of California. He will also be discussing the efforts to fight the closure of the Fillmore Safeway.

Come ready to be inspired, challenged, and uplifted by a soul-stirring message of God’s love for all people. This is more than a service—it’s a call to action and a celebration of history in the making.

Don’t miss this opportunity for thought-provoking dialogue and meaningful engagement. We look forward to seeing you there!
