John Turk, Jr Sunday Celebrations and GLIDE Together Sunday

GLIDE 330 Ellis Street, San Francisco, CA

John led the GLIDE Ensemble for more than 30 years, using classic reditions, updates of gospels, spiritual and contemporary music and his own compositions. An inductee of the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame, John was an early member of Sly and the Family Stone and worked with BB King and Etta James.

Join us on October 13th for our John Turk, Jr Sunday Celebrations.  You won't want to miss this music-filled Celebration. The Glide Ensemble will be singing and the Change Band will stir our hearts with jazz.

Oct. 20th is Justice Sunday. These rousing in-person and virtual Sunday Celebrations center stories about Glide Memorial Church’s racial, social, spiritual and creative justice work. After the service, join us at Sunday Streets for free recreational activities,health resources, music, dance, and fun. Andre Salvage & Associates will also provide part three of the de-escalation training for the Church.
