Glide Pride: Harvey Milk

Courtesy of the Glide ArchiveIt’s unknown when Harvey Milk visited Glide Memorial Church to speak.  The photo above shows the Rev. Cecil Williams (left) and Janice Mirikitani (middle) smiling and looking up at Harvey Milk (right). Perhaps this photo was taken at a Sunday Celebration.  Perhaps it was one of the many Candidates Nights hosted by the Council on Religion and the Homosexual.  After the assassination of Supervisor Harvey Milk and Mayor Moscone, Glide continued to celebrate the life and legacy of Harvey Milk.
