Glide Pride: Celebrating 60 Years of LGBTQIA+ Leadership, 1963-2023

Glide Memorial Church and the GLIDE Foundation have worked together to support, give voice to and provide life saving health care services to the LGBTQIA+ community for sixty years.  This exhibit shares some of the ways that Glide Pride has transformed the world since 1963.

This exhibit was curated by Megan Rohrer (he/him), Glide’s Senior Church Communications Specialist.  Megan was an associate curator on the GLBT Historical Society Museum’s inaugural exhibit, Our Vast Queer Past.  His online exhibit, Man-i-fest: FTM Mentorship in San Francisco, 1976-2009, won of OutHistory’s Since Stonewall Local History Competition.  A prolific author and finalist for the Lambda Literary award in transgender non-fiction, Megan co-edited (with Joey Plaster) Vanguard Revisited: The Queer Faith, Sex & Politics of the Youth of San Francisco’s Tenderloin.
