| ###FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE### CONTACT: Tri Nguyen: 415-608-6237 tnguyen@glide.org WHAT: Members of the media are invited to join us for Gap Inc. + GLIDE Holiday Shopping Spree, an evolution of the cherished annual holiday tradition previously hosted by Old Navy. This year’s event now includes all Gap Inc. brands, expanded shopping privileges for caregivers, and an enhanced slate of festive holiday activities! The Shopping Spree will be something to remember: 100 children and 60 caregivers each spending their own $150 gift card at their choice of downtown SF stores: Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta. Children and caregivers will be bussed from GLIDE’s Family, Youth, and Childcare Center to the store locations on 2 Folsom. More than 100 Gap Inc. volunteers will serve as party hosts, activity leads, and personal shoppers – offering guidance and encouragement as families select outfits they feel great in. Come experience kids and caregivers picking out their dream outfits, making bracelets, and winning prizes on an old-fashioned claw machine! Old Navy has always been generous with merchandise – and now Gap Inc. is expanding that spirit to create a holiday experience that honors caregivers as much as the children they support. WHEN: December 10th, 3:30 – 6:30 PMGLIDE President & CEO Dr. Gina Fromer will be available 3:30 – 4:30pm.WHERE: 2 Folsom Street, San Francisco WHY: Gap Inc. and GLIDE have partnered for more than 30 years, creating annual traditions that uplift San Francisco families and strengthen community bonds. This year alone, Gap Inc. employees have contributed near 2,000 volunteer hours to GLIDE’s programs, underscoring a partnership that extends far beyond the holidays. A child’s fashion options influence self-esteem and peer acceptance; every child deserves a chance to feel good. That’s why Gap Inc. has sponsored a free holiday shopping spree for GLIDE kids for many years at Old Navy. This year, Gap Inc. has broadened the shopping spree to three other stores, including those that specialize in adult clothing. Caregivers often prioritize their children’s needs over their own. This gift from Gap Inc. gives them the chance to treat themselves, too. Gap Inc.’s addition of festive holiday activities reflects GLIDE’s values of radical inclusion and unconditional love, affirming that people in need should be treated as honored guests. Gap Inc., which has supported GLIDE for more than 30 years and whose employees volunteer regular shifts each month, embodies the spirit that it is a privilege to give.
