Today she is known for her groundbreaking work in prison abolition, gender relations, and racial justice.

RSVP To Come

Martin Luther King Jr. March for Justice

GLIDE showed up and marched from 4th and King Street at the Caltrain Station to Yerba Buena Gardens in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Our President and CEO walked alongside Daniel Lurie, elected leaders, and community members who believe this work matters.

We moved together with purpose, carrying forward a dream rooted in justice, love, and equality that still calls for action today. #GlideInAction

Praying for Justice with Minister Marvin K. White

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Minister Marvin K. White lead the crowd in prayer. The event was an interfaith commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s civil rights accomplishments. The prayer took the form of this beautiful justice-seeking poem in the tradition of GLIDE founder Janice Mirikitani.

We are sharing this poem on our website to uplift and inspire all of you in your own spiritual and justice-seeking practices.  Enjoy!
