GLIDE’s holiday programs represent more than charitable giving—they are celebrations of dignity, hope, and unconditional love that have evolved over 60 years of community service. Signature events like the Annual Thanksgiving Celebration and Christmas Eve Prime Rib Luncheon have become San Francisco traditions, with some partnerships spanning over three decades. These gatherings unite GLIDE’s entire “Beloved Community,” welcoming clients, congregants, volunteers, staff, board members, donors, corporate partners, and public officials in shared celebration and service.

A delicious package of roast turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, veggie mix, pumpkin or apple pie (parents got to choose one), all lovingly prepared by our Meals Team awaited some 100 families, with each meal serving up to 6 people.

Our GLIDE community comes together annually for this heartwarming tradition initiated in 2017 by Pamela Brown – GLIDE Pantry Coordinator, Tina Huang – GLIDE Client Advocate, and Diane Truong – GLIDE Meals Navigator.
GLIDE honors our older adult community members, providing a special meal and celebration that recognizes their contributions to the beloved community.

Christmas Eve Luncheon Celebration

House of Prime Rib Christmas Eve Brunch

San Francisco’s House of Prime Rib will provide prime rib and all the sides for GLIDE’s popular, mouthwatering Christmas Eve Brunch served to as many as 2,400 guests inside GLIDE’s kitchen. Additionally GLIDE will deliver 200 meals to encampments across the city.

Glide Memorial Church Christmas Celebration

Glide Memorial Church’s rousing Christmas Celebration will take place on Christmas Day with Minister of Celebration Marvin K. White and members of the world-renowned Glide Ensemble and The Change Band.
Celebrate with us at 330 Ellis Street, in San Francisco’s historic Tenderloin District.
Christmas Meal, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
