Golden State Valkyries Holiday Assist
Volunteer Takeover at GLIDE on
Tuesday, November 25, 7:00–10:00 AM

GLIDE is thrilled to welcome the Golden State Valkyries for a large-scale volunteer takeover in support of our mission to build a radically inclusive, just, and loving community.  GLIDE and Valkyries staff and fans will volunteer their time and presence to help nourish, uplift, and stand in solidarity with our neighbors in the Tenderloin.

WHEN: Breakfast Service – November 25, 7:00a -10:00a

• 7:00-9:30am Valkyries volunteer shift and breakfast service
• 8:30am Press arrive to take pictures and b-roll of active breakfast service in the Dining Hall
• 9:00am Media availability in the lobby with a Valkyries Representative and GLIDE ​​​​​​ CEO & President, Dr. Gina Fromer

WHERE: Glide, 330 Ellis Street, San Francisco

WHAT: Volunteers will join GLIDE’s Daily Free Meals Program to prepare, serve, and share a hot breakfast with community members from across San Francisco. The Valkyries’ support comes at a critical time, as GLIDE is serving 600 more meals each day to meet the growing need caused by the ongoing government shutdown and reductions in SNAP benefits.

GLIDE’s Meals Program serves thousands of meals each week and remains a cornerstone of dignity, hospitality, and care in the neighborhood. The Valkyries’ hands-on involvement helps combat food insecurity and ensures that every guest is met with warmth, respect, and nourishment. The Valkyries involvement is part of their “Valkyries Holiday Assist” program presented by Kaiser Permanente.
