SF Coffee Talk

We are excited to announce a new coffee talk group in the Mission District!  Join us on Tuesdays, from 5:30-6:30PM for conversation and community at Café La Boheme (3318 24th St., San Francisco).  (Take BART to 24th Street Mission Station.)

GLIDE Pride Team

The GLIDE Pride Team is a dynamic group of diverse, creative, highly energetic LGBTQ and Hetero-fabulously straight "cheerleaders" who take great pride in leading GLIDE's efforts to promote equality for the LGBTQ community. In 2012, our entry in the San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade won "Absolutely Fabulous Overall Contingent".

Bay Area's most accomplished yoga teachers are donating their skills for the well being of our GLIDE Family.  Please try to be on-time for your class. Yoga mats, straps and blocks supplied! Beginners welcomed. Please check with your physician if you have any health condition and/or concerns. You may use GLIDE's free clinic if you do not have a private health plan. Please wear comfortable clothes for movement. Namaste.

Gay/Bi-Men's Group

The mission of the GLIDE Gay/Bi-Men's Group is to provide a place that unites GLIDE's gay and bisexual men in a spiritual and radically-loving environment to fellowship and celebrate our sexual diversity within GLIDE's walls and in the LGBT community. The group meets the first Sunday of every month after the 11am Celebration. Every fourth Sunday is a social event with location announced at Celebration.

The People's Bible Study

Open Meditation

Enter a welcoming environment for spiritual development and/or silent contemplation without dogmatic or philosophical pressures. If it's your first time joining, please arrive 15 minutes early for instructions.


When people come together to speak their truths, they know they are not alone. They feel the love and compassion from their brothers and sisters, and experience beloved community. Every Wednesday at 5pm, you are welcomed by Janice Mirikitani and Rev. Cecil Williams to come up to a single microphone and share your stories, songs, poetry, music, and whatever moves you. This is the SpeakOut, a weekly open mic series followed by a community dinner prepared by the Daily Free Meals Program.

Gun Laws In Defense of Everyone

Fourth Sunday after the 11:00 AM Celebration

Join an advocacy group looking for a way to stem the constant flow of blood from gun violence.  We are intending to change policy surrounding gun laws that put common sense and safety first.


Racial Justice Team

The GLIDE Racial Justice Team meets to work on ways, we as a GLIDE community can challenge racist profiling and seek justice in the Bay Area. Everyone is welcome.

Keepin' it Real

Sundays at 1pm in Freedom Hall

A weekly support group for dealing with issues ranging from overeating, to drugs and alcohol, to bad relationships - anything we need to recover from. Drop-ins welcome! Led by Terry Harper.

Bridging the Gap

Tuesdays at 5:00pm in Room 206

Join the support group designed for LGTBQ folks and Allies who are willing to sit with one another and work on the issues that keep us from having healthy relationships and keep us from living up to our full potential.



GLIDE's Sunday Children's Program occurs during the 11am Celebration. It is an opportunity for children to be creative and experience community through storytelling.  

Please bring your young ones to the front of the Sanctuary during the 11am Celebration when we invite them to step forward and the GLIDE Kids Volunteers will guide them up to the 4th Floor.


Children's Choir


The GLIDE Children's Choir is open to kids ages under age 12 and meets weekly after the 11am Celebration in the Sanctuary. The Children's Choir performs once a month at Celebration from the fall through the spring.



Been coming to Celebration and want to find a way to give back on Sundays? Volunteer to be an usher, promote GLIDE downstairs in Freedom Hall after Celebration, or help answer phones on Sundays.
